About Ya Tú Sabes PRPuerto Rico, the way locals know it.
Ya Tú Sabes PR is a hand-built guide to the island: where to eat, what to see, and how things actually work once you land.

Why this exists
I was born in Virginia, have traveled the world extensively, and three years ago Puerto Rico became home. What I noticed quickly is that most visitors never get past Condado, Ocean Park and Isla Verde — while the places I kept falling for were somewhere else entirely: the kiosks in Piñones, the bakeries in Río Piedras, a cove at the end of a road with no name. This began as a blog about those places. The more I learned about Puerto Rico, the more it rooted me here, and the more I wanted to build something useful with it — a bridge between the people who live on this island and the people who come to see it, so the attention, the money and the stories reach further than the hotel strip. Ya Tú Sabes PR is that bridge.

What this is
We map the places worth your time — roadside chinchorros and beachside kiosks, criollo kitchens and specialty coffee, historic forts and neighborhood plazas, rum distilleries, live salsa rooms and quiet beaches. Alongside the directory we explain the island itself: what to order first, how to get around without a car, when to reserve El Yunque, and the small details that make a trip easier. Browse in English or Spanish, save the places you like, and book tours, sails and adventures through our booking partner.
Who it's for
Travelers planning a first trip. Returning visitors who want to get past the postcard. Locals looking for what just opened around the corner. And the owners of the businesses on these pages — claim your listing and we'll help keep your hours, photos and links accurate.
Who builds it
Ya Tú Sabes PR is independently written, photographed and maintained in Puerto Rico by a small local team. Every listing is chosen and reviewed by hand; nothing here is auto-generated, and no business can buy a place in the guide. Bookable experiences are sold through Viator (Tripadvisor) — we may earn a commission when you book one, which never changes your price.
